Ben absolutely LOVED this motorcyle!!

We went to a friend's kids' birthday parties last night (the two have birthdays 6 days apart) and this is the picture that Sharlyn got of Ben playing on the motorcyle that was VERY popular with the kids. Love it!

We've been taking swim lessons since May of this year and finally got some pictures of it all. Ben is doing really good and is impressing me. Just recently, he got to swim under water from the instructor to me. It was a little scary, but we got through it! And the best part is that he actually liked it. Hurray!

Our First Snow

This was the first snow we had on October 11th. So soon! Anyway, we all went outside to play in it and had a blast. Here are the fun pics.

Fire!

Ok, so this morning, I thought I was being so efficient by cleaning and taking care of things around the house and decided that one of those things would be to clean the oven. Well......ours has an auto-clean feature, so you just push a button and it locks the oven and does its thing. Well, sort of. I was doing dishes and Ben kept pointing to the oven saying "fy-ure" (that's how he says it). I couldn't figure out why he was doing that until I turned around and took a look for myself. And low and behold, our oven had a little fire blazing in there (not sure if that's what it's supposed to do). Ben was very concerned and scared of it all and wanted nothing to do with it! I wish I had a picture of the look on his face and him pointing to the "fy-ure"!

Ben's New Words!

Ben is becoming quite the little "parrot" these days!! He will repeat just about ANYTHING you say! Some new words are: "freckles" (the cutest of them all and right up there with "Avery", his little friend), "medicine" (although it sounds like med-sin), "I fall" (he sounds southern when he says this one!!), "box" (sounds like bot) and "back up". A couple weeks ago, he peed in the bathtub and then promptly said so seriously "back up" and started backing away from it!!!! He calls himself now and walks around the house saying "Beeennnn" - so cute. A few words have come out sounding pretty bad if you know what I mean! We try not to laugh because that will only encourage it!!! When he says "freckles" he will point to the 3 freckles he has on his legs and the one between his toes!!! I think they fascinate him or something!

We went to the Corn Maize a couple weekends ago and we're just now posting the pictures! We had so much fun riding the cow train and playing in the corn box - it was all fun for the adults too! The kids (and adults) had a blast going down the slide. They also had a hay jump, which everyone loved.

We got Ben a potty since he has been interested in it. As you can see, he is just sitting there, reading. I thought it was adorable! He just grabbed his book and went and sat down! Must be a guy thing!!!
